Win £50 worth of B&Q vouchers with The Cottage Smallholder and Direct Line Grand Draw
Posted by Fiona Nevile in Cottage tales | 65 commentsFor those of you who missed out on the metal bedstead competition: we’ve got another great prize to offer you! This time we’re teaming up with Direct Line home insurance to give you the chance to win one of two B&Q vouchers worth £50!
Like most people these days, I review all of our insurance policies annually. Looking at all the options can be time consuming but definitely worth doing as it can save a lot of money. I use the comparison sites first to get the general lay of the land and then I look at the companies that are not listed on comparison sites. To date I have generally gone with insurers that are not listed on comparison sites as they can offer tweaks and deals that meet our needs exactly.
Direct Line is not listed on any comparison site and is one of the most trusted insurers in the UK. They realise the value that we put on the contents of our homes – that’s why they are offering a prize of a couple of £50 of B&Q vouchers for two lucky winners to add something special to their own home.
To be in with a chance of winning, simply leave a comment telling us how you’d spend the £50 voucher; every entrant will be put into our random selection software and the winner will be notified by e-mail. So please check your email on Tuesday May 22nd 2012 to see if you are one of the lucky winners!
Cottage Smallholder/Direct Line Grand Draw Terms and Conditions:
Delivery will be within 28 days of receiving the winner’s address. Prize draw open to customers and non-customers aged 18 or over who are UK residents. Draw is not open to employees of RBS Group Companies, their families or anyone associated with this draw. Proof of eligibility must be provided on request.
The two prizes are £50 worth of B&Q vouchers and the prize includes postage to winners’ UK addresses. Promotion runs from Tuesday May 8th 2012 and all entries must be received by 11.59pm on Monday May 21st 2012 latest.
Winners will be drawn at random at the end of the promotion. If a prize remains unclaimed after reasonable efforts have been made to contact the winner the promoter will be entitled to dispose of the prize as it sees fit without any liability to the winner for having done so.

If I were to win, I would put the money towards some kind of storage solution – my boyfriend just moved in and the house if over flowing with clutter!
I’d probably buy some tools and compost.
I would use the voucher to replace the seeds & plantlets which have been drowned, washed away or squashed to a pulp in my mud-bath of a garden in this recent bout of heavy wind & rain. It looks like the Somme out there.
Count me in! I would put it towards the surprise rehaul of CC’s bedroom. All the best, Kg.
I would buy some paint to cheer up my elderly garden furniture, some bark chippings as mulch, because we still have a drought order in NW Suffolk, and a new galvanised watering can because mine has finally rusted through and I miss it – although I am going to plant something in it.
Hello Fiona. Like everyone else it would be a treat to buy more stuff for the garden – packets of vegetable seeds, some starter plants for those gaps, and another water butt as we are still in drought (incredible, I know) as well as on a water meter now!
I’d use it for some Very Large Containers for my garden
Thanks, Karen. No worries. We will delete the extra comments tomorrow.
No idea what happened there TBH.
Oopos it’s back now so I’ve done it twice sorry
Hmm I left a comment, saw it written above then went on the back arrow and it seems to have disappeared – is that supposed to happen? I left one on the previous post and did the same thing and that’s gone too. Anyway I’ll try again and hope it doesn’t appear twice and look as though I’m cheating! I said my garden chairs have just fallen through so I’d replace them if I won. i won’t pres the back arrow this time!
